Zawadi means ‘gift’ in Swahili, and gifts don’t come sweeter than the forest fruits aroma from these special beans. Only a very small percentage of coffee beans are ‘peaberries’ - a single oval shaped bean that grows inside a single red cherry, and gives an intensely rich flavour. These marvellous peaberries are grown in the lush Kenyan climate, a musical Matatu (minibus) ride away from Nairobi, where they’re drunk along its vibrant, bustling streets.
